ΘΞ- Alpha Epsilon Chapter .::. University of Nebraska- Lincoln
Alpha Epsilon Chapter's Parent's Club is a very active support group for the members. The club meets approximately two times per semester and use the club's own funds or hard work to give the chapter a gift or general house improvement. For example, this spring the Parent's Club donated the funds for new carpet in the front room and study. Below are testimonials and contact information of parents who are proud to say their son is a Theta Xi. If you have any concerns about your son "going Greek" feel free to contact any of the parents listed below.
Hello, my name is Rhonda Rowley and my son Benjamin is a junior at the
University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a member of the greek fraternity
Theta Xi. I am writing to you today to let you know what a positive
experience our son has had being a member of Theta Xi and to encourage
your son to consider joining this fraternity. I must admit that
when Ben approached us about joining the fraternity as a freshman we
were apprehensive. Is it expensive? Don't they party a lot?.... How can
there be a good study environment? These were all questions and
concerns that we struggled with. I was confusing fraternity life with the college party stereotype. After I learned more about the Chapter and the good they do and got to know some of his brothers, I found that it was a great environment to help him succeed and enjoy college more.
It has been 3 years since Ben joined Theta Xi. The house is a very
home-like atmosphere and overall the cost of living in the house is
cheaper than the dorms.
Along with
living in house, he has benefited academically and grown in his
leadership skills as a result of being in Theta Xi. The fraternity
takes great pride in its academic and leadership achievements. Greek
students are active in organizing a variety of public service projects
that benefit the University and the community. Theta Xi offers
scholarships to those excelling in academics and therefore encourages
the members to excel. I know we were pleased when Benjamin was awarded
$1000.00 for his excellent grades.
Ben has grown in his leadership skills and currently serves as Chapter
President. He has held various offices and each one has been a learning
experience. I understand what the true meaning of brotherhood is about. These young men become a family, and I admire how they watch out for each other. I have watched them mature as they develop new relationships and understand why they call Theta Xi their home away from home.
I credit Theta Xi in helping Benjamin make an easy transition from high
school to college life. Theta Xi only recruits the best of the best so
it would be an honor for your son to be considered for membership. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call.
