Theta Xi Founders Day

Theta Xi was founded at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY, on April 29, 1864, by Peter Henry Fox, Ralph Gooding Packard, Christopher Champlin Waite, George Bradford Brainerd, Samuel Buel Jr., Henry Harrison Farnum, Thomas Cole Raymond and Nathaniel Henry Starbuck. Minutes of the original meeting, Constitution and Ritual have been preserved by the Fraternity to this day. Our tradition is truly continuous.

As Brothers, we celebrate 156 years of Theta Xi Fraternity, we reflect on what it means to live by our powerful motto; Juncti Juvant.

When the eight Founders of Theta Xi gathered more than 150 years ago, they focused on creating a standard of excellence that still resonates with more than 55,000 living alumni. Our Bonds are strengthened when we spend time together, and our Fraternity is stronger because of your support and commitment. Every member of Theta Xi is welcome at Founders Day gatherings, and we encourage you to reach out to the chapter/club leadership to let them know you are attending.
